Usonia Design Build brings residential design and construction together under one roof. Based in Prescott, Arizona, we work with clients planning new custom homes in Prescott, American Ranch, Prescott Valley, Copperfield, Williamson Valley, and surrounding communities.

Our work is shaped by the land, the views, the climate, and the way each client wants to live. From early design ideas through construction, we focus on creating homes that feel intentional, buildable, and deeply connected to their setting.

Homes Shaped by the Site

The name Usonia comes from Frank Lloyd Wright’s vision for a distinctly American approach to home: warm, purposeful, connected to the land, and designed for the way people actually live.

For us, that idea shows up in practical ways. We study the site before we design. We care about light, views, approach, privacy, indoor-outdoor living, and long-term livability. We think through how a home will be built, not just how it will look on paper.

The result is a more integrated process and a home that feels like it belongs where it is.

A More Connected Way to Build

Custom homes can become complicated when design and construction are treated as separate worlds for too long.

Beautiful ideas need to be tested against budget, schedule, site conditions, permitting, materials, and the realities of the build. When those conversations happen too late, projects can lose clarity and momentum.

Our design-build approach brings those pieces together earlier. Design decisions are informed by construction knowledge. Construction planning is guided by the design intent. Clients get a more coordinated path from early ideas to the finished home.

Our office is located near Willow Lake in Prescott, Arizona.

We focus on new custom homes in select communities throughout the region, including Prescott, American Ranch, Williamson Valley, Prescott Valley, Copperfield, and greater Yavapai County.

Northern Arizona homes require thoughtful planning. Slope, rock, trees, sun exposure, driveway access, views, drainage, and neighborhood character can all shape the final design. We enjoy projects where those conditions matter and where the home can be designed around them from the beginning.
